Track 07

Tumbleweed

Tumbleweed

I wish I were a tumbleweed

Rolling through the prairie

I'd never cry, I'd never bleed

A life that hardly varied

Cause if I were a tumbleweed

Adventures would unravel

I'd have the sun to warm my twigs

Contours made for travel

It would so good

Times would be so sweet

Life would be so full

I would be complete

If a storm blows into town

Just means its time to move on

There wouldn't be a tear to shed

No reasons, simply roll on

You just roll on

No equity to cloud my thoughts

No worries about money

This immensity I'd call my home

My land of milk and honey

The Rockies are a challenge

Though Big Sky shows me the way

It may be a perfect life

But it's a good one all there same

It would be so good...

Occasionally I'd wade downtown

I'm not your average thistle

If the ladies turned their heads

I'd greet them with a whistle

Of the wind

I wish I were a tumbleweed…

It would be so good…
